This Privacy Policy describes how Norren ("we", "our", "the app") handles your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

Norren is a voice-first diary application. We collect and process the following data:

• Voice recordings: Audio you record is transcribed to text on your device. We do not store raw audio after transcription.
• Diary entries: The text content of your diary entries, including categories, dates, amounts (for financial entries), and any associated metadata.
• Reminders and health data: Reminders you set (e.g., vitamin courses), their completion status, and dates.
• App preferences: Language, currency, notification settings, appearance mode.
• Subscription status: Whether you have an active Norren Premium subscription (managed by Apple).

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

All your diary entries, reminders, and personal information are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Norren does not maintain its own servers or cloud database for your personal data.

If you have iCloud sync enabled on your device, your data may be synced via Apple's iCloud service according to Apple's privacy policy.

3. Third-Party Services

AI processing (Anthropic)

To provide AI-powered insights and answer your questions about your diary, Norren sends a subset of your diary entries to Anthropic (Claude API) for processing. Specifically:

• When you ask the AI assistant a question, recent diary entries and reminders are sent to Anthropic to generate a response.
• When weekly insights are generated, a sample of your recent entries is sent to Anthropic.
• Anthropic processes this data per its own privacy policy and data usage terms.

Anonymous usage analytics (TelemetryDeck)

Norren uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused, GDPR-compliant analytics service based in the EU, to understand how the app is used. Only anonymous technical signals are collected — for example, that a recording was made or a screen was opened. The content of your recordings, entries, and questions is never included in analytics, and analytics data cannot be linked to your identity.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

4. What We Do Not Do

• We do not display advertisements.
• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not use advertising or tracking networks.
• We do not require an account or sign-in to use the app.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access, edit, or delete any diary entry within the app at any time.
• Delete the app and all associated local data by uninstalling Norren from your device.
• Manage or cancel your Premium subscription through Apple's Subscription settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Norren is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
